Resolution

Cheap monitor of same sizes do not display all the same resolutions.

Then, for each size there is an ideal resolution of work. (But anyone can set a resolution that is confortable for him.)

The size

The size is one of the criteria which will have the most influence on the price. Nowadays, the minimum size for a monitor is 15". However, the 17" makes it more suitable for any kind of use: office use, video game or graphic design, which in this case, corresponds to the minimum size. For the professionals’ graphics designer, I will recommend a 19” or 21 inch.

Advice to choose cheap monitor

• For office use I recommend you to buy a 17” with a maximum resolution of 1280X1024 at a frequency of 90 Hz.

• For graphic design I recommend you to buy a 19” with a maximum resolution of 1600X1200 at a frequency of 86 Hz or a 21” with a maximum resolution of 1800X1440 at a frequency of 90 Hz.
