All cases, whether they are full tower computer cases or desktop cases are nothing more than a plastic or metal box that houses the computer hardware parts.

Desktop computer cases

Generally we distinguish two types of cases: desktop and tower cases. They differ in size and shape. The desktop is a horizontal shape and tends to disappear from the market. Usually the desktop is use to support the monitor.

Tower computer cases

The tower is in a vertical shape and more currently used. There are different types of towers: Mini tower and large tower. The choice between the Large and the Mini will depend on the amount of peripherals (internal or external) a user will install on it.

The bigger is the case, more hardware parts it can hold, and the better the airflow. Large cases are easier to work with.

More compact is the case, less expansion potential it has. Working on it is much more difficult and the airflow is reduced. However, it is easier to find a place to put it.
