Motherboards installation guide

how to put the motherboard in the case

In a few steps my motherboards installation guide shows you how to install your motherboard.

Some computer cases have a removable motherboard tray. If yours does remove the screws holding it in place and pull it out of the case.

The best thing to do is to note the position of the holes in your case and on your motherboard.

Note the position of the holes where the motherboard will be fixed.

After, verify that the ports on your motherboard’s back panel match the holes on the back of the case. If necessary remove the old I/O shield by tapping it firmly with the butt-end of the screwdriver.

Carefully align the motherboard’s ports with the back of the case and position it on top of the brass standoffs. Line up the holes and use the screws to fasten down the motherboard.

If you are using a removable tray, slide the tray and the motherboard into the case and secure the tray.

Motherboard properly installed in the case
